Las Vegas MGM Grand Casino Hotel
The MGM Las Vegas is a great place if you are looking for a central location on the strip. It is easy to get to and from the airport. MGM Las Vegas is the only Vegas hotel with an airport check-in counter. We recommend checking in at the airport.
MGM Las Vegas is near the end of the strip, but for $11, you can buy an All Day Monorail Pass that will take you to Sahara and all the stops in between. The other side of MGM Las Vegas is Hooters and Tropicana, and across from Tropicana is Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay. There is a tram service that runs from Excalibur to Mandalay, but those hotels are all connected to each other. The train is good to get to other casinos and shopping area.
Enjoy the private pools of MGM Las Vegas. The hotel has the best pool in Vegas, with river rapids.
The casino of MGM Las Vegas has great atmosphere, mixture of tables and slot machines, and not scattered. The casino goes on forever - turn the corner and you are bound to find more tables and machines. Lots of gaming room, many available slots/tables on a very large gaming floor. The dealers of MGM Las Vegas are mostly friendly and helpful. Decent drink service for the size of the casino floor, expect to wait 2-3 minutes for your drink
The lion enclosure is a fantastic attraction that mesmerized everyone from young to old. If you have kids, or even if you do not, definitely check this out. It is located near to Rainforest Cafe and the Poker room. They do live feedings and you get to see these impressive beats up-close (behind 3 inches of solid Plexiglas’s).
Avoid those Representatives who come up to you by offering you free show tickets or gambling money. If you are really after cheap show tickets, go to the Tix4tonight stalls instead - there’s one near the M&M shop.
If you are planning to do some shopping, avoid the MGM Las Vegas boutiques. Go to the Fashion Mall.
